First aid kit in a bathroom cabinet
There"s a first aid kit in our bathroom cabinet. We decided to buy one and put it there because there are three kids in our family and little accidents happen all the time. I don"t know how many people actually have first aid kits at home. I don"t think it"s very popular. There should be one in a car, that"s obvious and everybody knows that, but to be honest, all of my friends seem to ignore the fact that they might need to use it at home. Anyway, out first aid kit is not very big. It"s a bag full of necessary things like adhesive bandages, plastic tweezers, sterile gauze pads, antiseptic wipes, thermometers and syringes. We don"t use these things very often. My son cut his palm very badly a few months ago. He was playing football with his friends when he fell on a piece of broken glass. Of course I managed to disinfect the wound very quickly. My daughter once found a tick in her arm after we had returned from a trip to the forest. I immediately ran to my bathroom cabinet to find the tweezers. You might wonder if it was safe to get rid of the tick on my own. Well I"m a qualified nurse so it was not the first time I"d done that. I know what to do in many dangerous situations and that"s why I usually don"t panic in case of minor accidents.
